Weekend Time, Almost!!!

I just can't express how thrilled I am for this weekend.  There are many reasons, but the most major one is that today is my Hunny's birthday (Happy Birthday, Sweetheart!!!) and to celebrate we get to have a weekend away starting tomorrow afternoon when he gets out of work.  I have planned a surprise trip for him, and can hardly wait to get out of town!  I'll be posting next week with pictures and stories, I'm sure! 

 

Another reason I am happy it is weekend is the usual, time away from work.  Plus, I have Monday off for our weekend trip, so three days away...NICE!    Things here at work have been crazy.  I am training with the technicians to expand my knowledge and hopefully get a promotion to 2nd level support by next year (I hope I hope I hope).  The problem is that making it through to next year seems more and more gloomy, and even if I do get the promotion, I keep the same manager.  To put things simply and without too much whining and wailing, our manager doesn't have very good management skills...if any at all.  Basically we exist in a dictatorship environment with no support or trust, and each day is a literal battle within myself to convince myself to go to work.  The encouraging (if that word even really fits) part is that after finally talking with other members of the team, I am not the only one who feels this way.  Phew...its not just me!  My simple goal each day is "Don't quit"!  I have a goal to get through the training and get the experience, then see where that leads me from there.  I just have to keep praying for God's strength to make it.

 

So now I will end my bitch-fest, and return to the original theme...IT's ALMOST WEEKEND!  WOOHOO!

I just found out that Collin Raye is the vocalist in this commercial...completely ironic as it gets stuck in my head for days whenever I hear it!

Just some misc. fun

I just thought I would share some miscellaneous shots from the past week. We all had a lot of fun at the game and the concert. I'm grateful to be blessed to be able to do such fun things with such wonderful people! It may have been hot out, but we survived, and we all had a great time, inspite of the heat. I'm truly blessed!

Collin Raye is the BEST!!!

Last night my whole house family went to the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton to go see Collin Raye, again! He had two shows, one at 6 and one at 8, and due to shortness of time at the moment, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! Enjoy!

July 4th - Take 1

Ok, So I can't take credit for these pictures. A good friend of mine took them at the game with her brand new Canon XTI...NICE! I have some more pictures to add, but they didn't make it to my Thumb Drive like I thought they had, so I will have to post them later today.

The game was fun, but we didn't last through the whole thing. It was nearly 100 Degrees outside, and we were melting into the seats with no shade in site, so we did something unprecidented to most sports fans...we left at the 7th inning stretch. To be honest, most of us weren't paying much attention to the game. We were having too much fun gabbing amongst ourselves (it wasn't till something like the 5th inning that I even realized that the A's were down 6-0! WoW!) Apparently after we left they did score 3 runs, but the BlueJays scored a few more as well, and ended up winning 10-3. That's ok...we still support our A's!

Mom, Dad, my hunny and I will be going to another A's game in a couple weeks, actually. That should be more comfortable as it is an evening game...phew!

A while back I was whining about having to go to school during Summer and a holiday, none-the-less...well, apparently, not only did I not really want to go to class on the holiday, the teacher didn't want to teach on the holiday, so the class was moved up a week, which is why I haven't been around for a while.

The class was "OK". I'm just glad it wasn't my money that paid for it, because I don't think it was worth the cost. I am learning more now that it is over, and from a dif't book than the one they provided. But hey, it was a week away from the office...that in itself was awesome. =-)

Now it is back to the grindstone for a day or two, then a day off...NICE! I will be updating my blog with better stuff in the next few days.

My Hunny's girls are visiting from Missouri and we're going to an A's game on Wednesday and the fair on Thursday (Collin Raye again...woohoo!), so I'm sure there'll be pics and stories to share.
